Meet Beth Sherman
Beth Sherman is a leadership communication keynote speaker and the creator of Audience-First Communication: a practical approach to making complex, high-stakes work clear, relevant, and easier for the people in front of you to act on.
Drawing on 30 years as a 7x Emmy Award-winning comedy writer and veteran stand-up comedian, Beth shows leaders and teams how the best entertainers read a room in seconds, lower resistance, and turn attention into action, and how to apply those same principles inside a business. Her work centers on one capability most communication training leaves out: shifting from what I want to say to what my audience needs to hear. When that shift happens, attention sharpens, friction drops, and recommendations land the first time.
Beth built her craft in environments where connection had to happen instantly or nothing worked. She has performed everywhere from Las Vegas to Iraq. Her writing credits include The Late Show with David Letterman, The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, Ellen, and the Academy Awards, where she crafted material for A-list talent including Tom Hanks, Helen Mirren, and Queen Latifah.
Today she translates that work into a practical communication approach teams can use the next morning: capture attention quickly with skeptical, time-pressed audiences, translate complex expertise into language decision-makers can use, reduce friction in high-stakes conversations, and help important initiatives gain traction during change and uncertainty.
Her clients include Heineken, Natixis, and The Marketing Society. Beth speaks at corporate leadership events, association conferences, leadership summits, law firm retreats, and sales kickoffs that want a keynote combining high engagement with measurable business impact. Her sessions are known for being genuinely funny and substantive in equal measure. The kind of program that holds a room even after lunch on day two of an offsite.
